For months, I have been talking about the situation in penitentiaries. There are no basic conditions, do not provide prisoners with the necessary medicine, medical care. There are no psychologists, doctors. Their presence could change this image. In addition to all this, the court hearings are unfounded, the cases are examined for years.
The Institute for Early Release is not working. I have submitted the proposals to me and their solutions to both former and current ministers and deputy ministers to justice. I have also invited the attention of the Ombudsman, which, instead of threatening me, had to make every effort to change this situation.
It is a result of not listening to the questions raised, which continues. Meanwhile, we are talking about human lives. I am confident that if you have a will and to work, we can prevent the deaths, suicide and self-harm. "
