2024. The true circumstances of the murder of a 63-year-old man in Kapan on April 13.
2024 on April 18, a citizen reported to the RA MIA police that on April 13, 2024, his father, a 63-year-old resident of Kapan city, left the house on a donkey and never returned.
On the same day, in the evening, as a result of operative-investigative measures, the half-burnt body of the wanted man was found, buried in the yard of a 35-year-old resident of Kapan. The mentioned person was arrested by the Police officers on suspicion of killing a 63-year-old person.
Regarding the case, on April 18, criminal proceedings were initiated in Syunik Marz Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee under the features of Article 155, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
As a result of the evidentiary and procedural actions carried out during the preliminary investigation, factual data were obtained that the 63-year-old man met his 35-year-old acquaintance in Kapan on April 13, between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and offered his house. drinking vodka together in the yard. After receiving the owner's consent and drinking together, the 63-year-old man uttered obscene words during the conversation to the 35-year-old resident of Kapan and his mother. During the quarrel caused by that reason, the latter deliberately struck different parts of the body of the 63-year-old fellow citizen, including the head, which is a vital organ.
At the beginning of the preliminary investigation, trying to mislead the body conducting the proceedings, the 35-year-old man said that the dispute was settled, after which the 63-year-old resident of Kapan spent the night in the said house. The next day, in the morning, finding the latter in a dead state and fearing that he died from the blows he inflicted, he decided to hide the body. For this purpose, he moved the body to the back of his house, left it on the half-burnt mass of bushes he had set on fire in the garden, then, noticing that the man's body was burning, he dug a hole and buried the body there, filling the half-ashed mass of burnt bushes with the soil on it.
During the further examination, however, the results of the performed investigative actions, including the appointed forensic medical examination, proved that the 35-year-old man took the victim to the back of the house and burned her while she was still alive, causing incompatible with life, common skin and internal organs. 4th degree flame burns of about 80 percent, with missing and incineration of significant parts of the body and internal organs, resulting in his death.
The investigator initiated a petition to the prosecutor supervising the proceedings to initiate a public criminal prosecution against the 35-year-old resident of Kapan, which was granted, and the said person was charged under part 1 of Article 155 of the RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a preventive measure against him.
The preliminary investigation was completed and the materials of the proceedings, with the indictment, were sent to the Prosecutor's Office of Syunik region for the purpose of sending them to the court.
