The office of the representative for international legal issues issued a statement regarding the trial of the criminal cases against the Armenian prisoners of war and civilians held in Baku.
"Regarding the initiation of criminal proceedings against Armenian prisoners of war and civilians held in Azerbaijan, the Office of the Representative for International Legal Affairs informs as a reminder that until 2022 and 2024 by the Republic of Armenia are two interstate complaints aimed at protecting the rights to a fair trial, freedom and personal integrity of all Armenian prisoners of war and civilians illegally accused in Azerbaijan submitted to the European Court of Human Rights.
The Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is also following the ongoing trials in Azerbaijan these days. We would like to inform you that according to the established procedure and deadlines, necessary additional evidence and claims will be submitted to the European Court."
