RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan referred to the changes made by the Ministry of Defense in 2024 at the press conference, specifically mentioning:
"After the 44-day war, after my tenure, a rather serious process of reforms of the armed forces began, and what we have today is the process of reforms, and in fact, it is quite early to give an assessment of what the results of our reforms will be, and I am not the one who needs an assessment. I will give."
He noted that he shares the RA Prime Minister's approach that it is not necessary to artificially not only sanctify, but also to place such a share of responsibility on the armed forces, which the armed forces cannot simply fulfill, first of all, a conscript soldier cannot carry it on his shoulders.
"It is not about that we slander the armed forces with this, we are trying to belittle their merit in any way, it is about raising respect for the armed forces," added the minister.
Minister Suren Papikyan said that 2024 was an auspicious year for the armed forces, and it was an opportunity for the armed forces to fulfill the tasks before them.
