"Next week, a special border security team will go to Armenia to carry out work in the direction of joint border security, we will strengthen the relevant work in the security direction." US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced this at the signing ceremony of the strategic partnership charter between Armenia and the USA, adding that cooperation within the framework of the Eagle Partner format will also continue.
"In a short period of time, we have carried out a huge and effective work under wonderful partnership relations. Thus, we are able to record a significant cornerstone achievement in Armenia-US relations, we are creating a strategic partnership commission," said the US Secretary of State, referring to the strategic partnership charter.
According to Blinken, the commission provides a framework for expanding bilateral cooperation in a number of important areas: defense and security, economic, democracy and justice, inclusiveness and interpersonal relations.
Speaking about Armenian-American economic and energy cooperation, Anthony Blinken said.
"At the moment, we are moving the negotiations to the sphere of peaceful nuclear security and atomic energy."
