President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky imposed new sanctions against Russia. According to Euromedia24.com, he announced this in his Telegram evening message.
He noted that the sanctions will be directed against the financial sector of Russia.
"We will continue to work with our partners to coordinate our pressure. And the second document is a bill on criminal liability for attempts to circumvent sanctions," he said.
Zelensky added that this bill will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for discussion.
Recently, the head of Ukraine has signed a number of laws related to the country's defense sector. According to the first draft, the medical and social expert commissions (MPCs) were suspended in Ukraine.
According to another law signed on December 31, civilians returning from captivity will have the right to postpone mobilization. In addition, the postponement procedure will be simplified for those whose close relatives are absent.
