Five people were killed and 38 others were injured in a collision between a bus and a KAMAZ truck in the Stavropol Territory. Among the injured are 10 children, one of whom is in intensive care, Kommersant reports, citing the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
The accident occurred at about 01:00 Moscow time in the Inozemtsevo settlement of the city of Zheleznovodsk. The bus was traveling from Georgia to Moscow, and there were 43 people on board.
According to the regional State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, the bus driver exceeded the safe speed and failed to maintain the required distance from the KAMAZ truck in front. After the collision, the bus left the road and ended up in a ditch.
