In a few days, my family and I will be able to stay abroad, Artsakh resident Berta Shahramanyan has issued a statement about this.
She addressed the Armenian authorities with an open letter.
"I am Berta Shahramanyan, a citizen of the Republic of Artsakh (now RA).
In September 2023, during the days of the deportation of the people of the Republic of Artsakh, I lost 4 members of my family: my father, 2 minor brothers, and my husband. Almost 3 years have passed since that incident. My mother, my brother, and I, who have a military disability, live in a rented house. During this time, we have not received any support from the state. To date, my relatives have not received any status, while that explosion was a consequence of military operations.
Today, my family and I are facing a rather big problem, since the problem of rising apartment rents has also reached us. Unfortunately, my family and I are unable to pay the monthly rent of 300,000 AMD. With the 3-4 million certificates provided by the state, it is impossible to purchase even a 1-room apartment at current market prices, and we have to hand over the current apartment within a few days. So far, I have not been able to find an apartment for rent at a reasonable price, since I, the only employee in the house, work in Yerevan and, of course, am looking for an apartment in Yerevan. I appeal to you with a big request to take into account the current difficult situation of my family and somehow solve this big problem, since in a few days my family and I may be abroad.
And finally, I would like to know whether the relevant authorities are monitoring and whether income tax is paid to the state from the income received by the owners of the apartments, "said Berta.
