Pay special attention to children's road safety before the start of the new school year. The Ministry of Health urges this
Help children learn and observe the basic rules of road safety:
together choose the safest route to school in advance,
cross the road only at a pedestrian crossing or in a safe area
before crossing the road, stop, look around and listen,
do not rush or run when crossing the road. Continue to carefully monitor traffic until you reach the other side of the road,
in the dark, choose white, brightly colored or fabric clothing containing reflective elements (for example, reflective strips attached to clothing or a backpack) so that the child is more visible to drivers.
When using public transport
Wait at the stop on the sidewalk, at a safe distance from the roadway.
Wait until passengers get off before getting on the bus.
Do not distract the driver.
After getting off the bus, do not rush to cross the road immediately. Wait until it moves away and you can see oncoming traffic.
To make children visible on the road,
use a helmet of the correct size and securely fastened when riding a bicycle,
place children in age-appropriate child seats in cars, and fasten seat belts for children over 7 years of age, even for short journeys.
Children follow the example of adults: always follow road safety rules and encourage children to do the same.
Let's start September safely
