"Hraparak" writes: The decision to reject the candidates of "Strong Armenia" was definitely not accepted by the ruling team. Let us remind you that the CP did not elect the chairpersons of the financial, credit and budgetary, territorial management and environment, and European integration commissions of the NA yesterday. Hayk Farmanyan, Davit Ghazinyan and Arega Hovsepyan were nominated from "Strong Armenia", respectively.
After several days of discussions, the authorities did not choose the opposition candidates, arguing that the problem is the personalities, they did not like the candidates. Meanwhile, a strong part of the CP is not in favor of that approach. We were told that, regardless of who the candidates were, they had to respect the norm of the constitution. Moreover, according to our sources, the problem was not the opposition candidates, but the government presidents, who were supposed to become the presidents of the mentioned commissions.
One of them, for example, is Vahe Ghalumyan, Pashinyan's godfather's brother, who, they say, took it hard that he was deprived of the post of regional president and lobbied with his close friends against the opposition to not vote in their favor, and to pass the post of committee chairman to KP, that is, to him.
The other one is the staunch representative of the Soros, Sona Ghazaryan, who was supposed to become the chairman of the European integration commission. The Soros wing does not want to cede this commission to the pro-Russians.
They also hoped that they would defeat the election of the president, that the "powerful" would no longer nominate a candidate, and that the ruling vice-presidents would de facto become the president.
