OpenAI has released ChatGPT, a teen mod built around learning and safety.AP:the
This regime sets stricter boundaries in relationships. the model will not call itself a friend, hint at personal feelings, or imply to the user that it is conscious. The company has also added a break reminder function so that teenagers don't get too caught up in the chat, and parents will be able to turn off the chatbot for a certain period of time. Teenagers will also have such an opportunity.
Additionally, OpenAI has implemented alerts for parents about potentially dangerous conversations their child is having; the system will notify adults if a child discusses dangerous topics, such as eating disorders and threats of violence, or sends indecent images. Before notification, the content will be checked by company employees manually, not automatically.
In the learning mode, which will be launched separately, ChatGPT will try to guide the teenager to his own solution, rather than a ready-made answer to this or that problem.
The "Study hours" function has also been added, which automatically activates the study mode at a certain time of the day. Parents can also configure this feature through their account.
A representative of the company noted that the mode will be activated automatically through predictive mechanisms. Creating new accounts will not be necessary or possible as the system analyzes user requests and behavior. Teen Mode will launch on August 18th and will roll out worldwide by the end of the month.
