Israel is not capable of conducting a war against Iran on its own and entered the conflict exclusively with the support of the United States, effectively becoming the "proxy power" of Washington and the West. Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, senior representative of the IRGC and deputy head of the political department, announced this, Mehr reports.
According to Javani, the latest high command appointments reflect a "transformational" approach to Iran's defense doctrine. The new leaders, who are veterans of the Iran-Iraq war, have proven their effectiveness in battle after the death of senior commanders.
He noted that the decrees on the appointments of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, contain wording adapted to the current conditions. As an example of a far-sighted approach, he cited the provisions of the decree appointing Hojatoleslam Hossein Taeb as head of the Basij forces, including the notions of an "intelligence network" and "every Iranian a Basij fighter."
Javani emphasized that the IRPC command under the leadership of Major-General Ahmad Vahidi is faced with the task of providing "maximum deterrence" and forming a new position, in which case defensive operations can also become offensive.
"We have never been the initiator of war, but since we are at the epicenter of the conflict and the enemy is looking for opportunities, the enemy should learn from these decrees and their messages. our armed forces are moving to transformational approaches," Javani said.
"The enemy must know that he will not be able to carry out surprise actions against us and take us by surprise. It is possible that he should wait for strategic surprises," he added.
