The square writes:
Yesterday, after the searches of the residence and businesses of the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party Gagik Tsarukyan, according to PAP spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan, the building of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia, the "Ararat Cement" factory, the Yerevan "Ararat" cognac, wine, vodka combine, the administrative building next to the combine, the "Multi Stone" company were searched. "Paroon" restaurant complex. As of yesterday, the hotels and factories belonging to the businessman in Tsaghkadzor were also not functioning, the guests staying in the hotel were even invited out. The activity of more than a dozen farms has been paralyzed, about ten thousand citizens are forced to idle, and they fear that they will become unemployed.
As a result of yesterday's actions, some economies suffered enormous losses, especially "Araratcement", brandy factory, hotels. The large reserves of alcohol stored in the factory require round-the-clock security work, they did not manage to empty the swimming pools and water tanks in the hotels, and an accident occurred in the flow lines of "Araratcement".
Artyom Poghosyan, acting director of the "Araratcement" factory, told us that the law enforcement officers literally attacked the factory early in the morning, between 7-7:30 AM. "Even scaring the security officers, using force and threatening to arrest everyone." It was during the factory shift time when the day shift staff came to replace the night workers. The employees of the investigative committee not only did not allow the people who came to work to enter the factory, but also took the workers on the assembly lines out of the factory without giving time.
According to Poghosyan, the pipelines working at that moment were left without an owner, while this work requires every second control. As a result, a huge amount of raw materials was burned, the pipelines were disrupted. "When we asked the specialists to at least come inside to turn off the mechanism, they allowed it hours later, when there were already failures and damage was done." At the moment, Poghosyan cannot say how much the damage is. The employees of the CC secured the entrance to the factory and the administrative building. "Our work is paralyzed for an indefinite period, we are talking about the employment of around 1,000 employees, who are actually unemployed now," said Poghosyan. The director also informed that they were not even allowed to send off the buyers, who, as usual, came that day to take a batch of cement from the factory.
According to the director, before the attack, CC employees presented a court order, which stated that searches in offices are prohibited, despite this and their pointing out that the court had written something similar, law enforcement officials did not obey the court order and searched and examined the entire area. Let's remember that during the election campaign, Nikol Pashinyan announced that very soon he would head the "backbone" of PAP's business, the Ararat cement factory. will be nationalized, a temporary manager will be appointed, as they did with the HEC owned by Samvel Karapetyan. Gagik Tsarukyan, responding to this statement, said that if the government seizes the factory, the whole state will answer for it, because it is private property.
On the same day, the prosecutor's office, accepting Pashinyan's statement as an instruction, announced that they had discovered violations in the process of privatization of the factory. "On May 5, 2026, the General Prosecutor's Office addressed a letter to the RA government, proposing to discuss the existing violations in the company and to implement proper administration in order to eliminate their consequences, including, for example, the expediency of appointing a temporary manager in the company," the prosecutor's office reported.
Let's record that Nikol Pashinyan has decided to dispossess his political opponent, seize his property, punish him for going against him. And one of his satellites wrote in plain text today that this is a "message" to all those who have something to do with Russia. "Whoever voluntarily and consciously became a tool of Russia against Armenia will have serious problems." It is clear that the law no longer works in our country, but the political interests, wishes and instructions of the rulers.
