Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir believes that Israel is not obliged to comply with the US-Iran agreement "in any way" because it is not subject to Washington. He published a statement about this in X. "The agreement of American leader Donald Trump does not bind us (Israel).
Israel is an independent and sovereign state and is not subject to the United States," Ben-Gvir wrote. "We (Israel) are extremely grateful to President Trump. And yet, the state of Israel is not a banana republic," he added. Ben-Gvir explained his position by saying that Israel "is not a partner of this agreement, which does not care about its security and does not oblige it (Israel) in any way".
"We cannot agree to anything less than the complete destruction of the Lebanese Shiite movement, Hezbollah. we cannot give up the territories that our troops captured and cleared of terrorist infrastructures," he added.
