Kanaker-Zeytun community police officers and Police Guard officers on June 2, during patrol duty, noticed a man behaving suspiciously on Paruyr Sevak Street, who was trying to hide something near a tree trunk.
Seeing the police, the man ran away, which was quickly prevented. At 4:30 p.m., the man was arrested on suspicion of selling drugs and was taken to the department along with the car he was driving.
The 33-year-old man, a resident of Hovhannisyan Street in the capital, admitted that he had already placed four packages of marijuana, and 21 more were in the car.
Criminal proceedings were initiated in the investigative department of Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district, and as a result of investigative actions, the said packages were found.
According to the 33-year-old man, he acquired the drugs through the Telegram channel, posted and sent the photos to the addressee of the channel.
An accusation was presented to him, a preventive measure of detention was applied.
The circumstances are clarified by the preliminary investigation.
