Donald Trump won the US presidential election

Donald Trump won the US presidential election with more than 270 electoral votes. After the results were announced in the state of New Hampshire, Trump's Democratic rival Kamala Harris gained 223 votes, and Trump now had 279.

It may still take quite some time until the official and detailed results of the US election become known. Trump's lead in the total number of votes collected is not as large as in the electoral votes, but this is due to a well-known feature of the American election procedure. Everyone the state, as an independent member of the federation, separately decides by majority vote which of the candidates it wants to see in the White House, and in the vast majority of states, all electoral votes go to the winner.
