Turkey has announced that the works in the Azerbaijani section of the "Zangezur Corridor" are being completed. This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. The implementation of the Zangezur Corridor project is ongoing, and Turkey has already started construction work on the part of the route that is allocated to it. The tender for the construction of the 224-kilometer long Kars-Idgher-Aralik-Diluju railway was held in Turkey, and the works have already started. In addition, a 180-kilometer section near Nakhichevan is slated to continue construction during the current year. An important and unfinished link in the project remains the 41-43-kilometer section of the Zangezur Corridor, which runs through Armenia. On the Azerbaijani side, the works are also nearing completion, some parts are already ready. There remains the 41-43 kilometer long Zangezur crossing, which is located in the territory of Armenia. As is known, it is sometimes called the Trump route. We are waiting for the start of the process there with the agreement of the USA and Azerbaijan. After the completion of the project, a transport route of about 860 kilometers will be put into operation, which will increase the short and effective communication opportunities between Turkey, the Turkish world and the countries of Central Asia.
