Freestyle wrestlers competed in the under-17 European Championship in Bulgaria.
Suren Ishkhanyan, representative of Armenia, weight 55 kg, had brilliant competitions and won a ticket to the finals. The Armenian wrestler had an impressive start, taking two early wins and reaching the semi-finals. In order to reach the finals, Ishkhanyan once again gained a clear advantage over Abbas Shafiev from Azerbaijan. Tomorrow, the Armenian athlete will wrestle for the gold medal of the championship.
Let's add that four more wrestlers took to the mat today as part of the Armenian national team: Gegham Hovsepyan (48 kg), Razmik Oskanyan (65 kg), Yeghishe Mosesyan (80 kg) and Vram Sahakyan (110 kg).
