Armenian Grandmaster Hayk Martirosyan is the sole leader before the penultimate round of the "19th Agzamov Memorial" international chess tournament in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, the Chess Federation of Armenia informs.
In the 8th round, Hayk Martirosyan defeated Uzbek grandmaster Abdimalik Abdisalimov.
Grandmasters Artyom Uskov and Nikita Afanasev representing FIDE, as well as international masters Muhammadzokhid Suyarov and Bakhrom Bakhrillaev, representing Uzbekistan, are half a point behind Martirosyan.
The 9th round will start tomorrow.
