Certain forces in the world still want the fighting in Ukraine to continue. Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili expressed this opinion on Facebook. "Truly, as the President of the United States of America says today, this is a war that should never have started.
However, even today we see forces that want and feel comfortable with the continuation of this war," Papuashvili wrote. The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia noted that the fighting in Ukraine should end as soon as possible.
Peace must reign and Ukrainian statehood must be saved. He noted that a new security architecture should be built based on the principles of respect for sovereignty and national self-sufficiency. Papuashvili again noted that Georgia has always supported the peaceful agenda, despite the external pressure to drag the country into the "ring of fire".
