The Minister of Justice, Srbuhi Galyan, in a conversation with KP MP Sona Ghazaryan, noted that a new project related to the fight against hate speech is being discussed.
At the moment, the project is still under discussion, the essence is as follows: administrative and civil liability is formulated in connection with hate speech. Minister of Internal Affairs Srbuhi Galyan said this in a conversation with Factor.am.
"Civil liability will be in the form of non-compensatory damages, as in the case of defamation or insult.
We still have to discuss the administrative responsibility, especially the part that refers to the competent body, the competent body must detect the hate speech and apply administrative responsibility," he said.
Referring to fake users and the decision on the amount of the fine, Galyan noted that the fight against fake users is not a secret, that it is not a simple problem, and they do not have a decision on the amount of the fine yet, because the project has not been concluded.
