The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that the kidnapping of the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, is connected with treason and conspiracy. His words were quoted by BelTa news agency.
He raised the issue of Venezuela after the ceremony of awarding the "For Spiritual Revival" award.
"I want you to understand. everything was there. Both consent and money were paid, including to the people of Venezuela. Both the military and civilians. There was a conspiracy and treason," he said.
