The delegation of the Palestinian Hamas movement will discuss the issue of moving to the second phase of the Gaza peace plan, including the formation of the Gaza Management Committee, during the talks to be held in the Egyptian capital next week, a Palestinian source told the Arabic publication Asharq al-Awsat.
Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari said on Tuesday that Doha was discussing with other mediators between the parties to the Gaza conflict the issue of moving to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which would include the deployment of an international contingent and the formation of new authorities there.
In addition, he said Qatar was negotiating with mediators to reopen the Rafah crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt and allow humanitarian aid to arrive.
