In the European Parliament, it was proposed to summon all US ambassadors to NATO countries regarding the issue of Greenland

Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmerman, the chairman of the Security and Defense Sub-committee of the European Parliament, called on all EU member states of NATO to summon the US ambassadors at the same time. RIA Novosti reports that, emphasizing that the initiative is related to Washington's statements about Greenland.

According to Strack-Zimmerman, such a joint step will allow to send a united and clear message to the USA, showing that Europe considers the possible seizure of Greenland by force unacceptable. He noted that although such a scenario is painfully possible, Europe cannot simply remain in the role of an observer and follow the process indifferently.

The member of the European Parliament warned that a possible US attack on Greenland could actually put an end to NATO. At the same time, he expressed dissatisfaction that the European Union is not taken seriously in Washington. Earlier, the Spanish newspaper El País wrote that the EU's response to the developments in Venezuela indicates a deep fear of US President Donald Trump.
