The Democratic leader of the Senate called Trump's plan for Venezuela inadequate

The Trump administration's plan to manage Venezuela is vague and inadequate.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York) told reporters after a closed briefing for lawmakers held by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegsett on December 5.

"This briefing, while very long and detailed, raised more questions than it answered," Schumer said.

"Their plan for the management of Venezuela by the United States is vague, wishful thinking and insufficient," the senator emphasized, speaking about the course adopted by the Trump administration towards the South American country.
