North Korea launched at least two ballistic missiles in the direction of the Sea of Japan, Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi announced, reports RIA Novosti.
"The first missile was launched at approximately 7:54 a.m. local time (at 2:54 a.m. Yerevan time), reached a maximum height of about 50 kilometers and flew about 900 kilometers. The second missile was launched at approximately 8:05 a.m. (3:05 a.m. Yerevan time), reached a maximum height of about 50 kilometers and flew about 950 kilometers," the Japanese Ministry of Defense said.
It is noted that the representatives of Tokyo sent a note of protest regarding this incident to Pyongyang through their embassy in Beijing.
