Today, January 3, a major car accident took place in Vayots Dzor marz. Around 1:50 p.m., the Jeep Cherokee driven by 32-year-old Garegin B., a resident of Syunik marz, and the Toyota Camry driven by 41-year-old Karen D., a resident of Lori marz, collided on the 120 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway.
As a result of the accident, 9 people were taken to the "Vayots Dzor" medical center with injuries.
The rescuers took some of the wounded to the ambulances on a stretcher, then the doctors provided first aid to the wounded before taking them to the hospital.
Due to the fact of the accident, criminal proceedings have been initiated in the investigative department, where the identities of the injured are revealed.
