The representatives of the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France and Ukraine had telephone conversations and discussed the possibility of strengthening the security guarantees of Kyiv.
Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the US President, announced this on the X social network. He detailed that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, White House son-in-law Jared Kushner, British Prime Minister's national security adviser Jonathan Powell, French President's foreign affairs adviser Emmanuel Bonn, German Chancellor's foreign policy adviser Guenther Sauter and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov participated in the conversation.
"Further steps of the European peace process were discussed. Special attention was paid to practical ways to advance the discussions within the framework of the US President's peace initiative, including the strengthening of security guarantees and the development of effective conflict prevention mechanisms to stop war and prevent its resumption," the publication states.
