Armenia celebrates Constitution Day

On July 5, Armenia celebrates the Constitution Day. After the declaration of independence in 1991, the Constitution was adopted on July 5, 1995, and that day it became a state holiday. The opposition then considered the results of the referendum falsified, but according to official data, the Constitution was adopted.

This was the first Constitution of Independent Armenia.

In recent years, the country's main law has been subjected to changes in the referendums twice, first of November 27, 2005, and the second on December 6, 2015.
