Due to the penetration of an active cyclone from the west, heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected in most regions of the republic on the afternoon of October 17 and on the night of October 17-18. "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNOC informs about this.

In the mountain zones of Shirak, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, precipitation will be in the form of wet snow on the night of October 17-18.

In the afternoon of October 18, the strength of the cyclone will weaken sharply, as a result of which precipitation will be maintained in separate parts of the republic and will be short-lived.

On October 17-19, the air temperature in the entire territory of the republic will gradually decrease, compared to today, by about 6-9 degrees.

Due to heavy rainfall, on October 17-18, a significant increase in water output is expected in the rivers of Aghstev, Debed, Hrazdan, Kasakh, Azat, Vedi and Sevan Lake basin.
