Issues related to the prevention of human trafficking in Armenia were discussed


Deputy Minister of Justice Anna Karapetyan received a delegation led by Tatiana Katana, which has visited Armenia, and Tatiana Katana, a group of experts on the fight against human trafficking. This was reported by the RA Ministry of Justice.
 
Issues related to the prevention of human trafficking in Armenia and the fight against the Ministry of Justice were discussed during the meeting.
 
In this context, the Deputy Minister highlighted the introduction of new Criminal and Criminal Procedure Code, which came into force in 2022. Reference to trafficked persons, in case of commissioning crimes, to be released from criminal liability, criminal prosecution, proceedings, trafficking and compensation to victims of trafficking.
 
Defining the involvement of qualified psychologists qualified in the investigative actions with minors, adopting comprehensive legislation on legal assistance with criminal proceedings.
 
Both sides reaffirm their commitment to the intensification of joint efforts in the fight against human trafficking and ensuring the continuation of steps taken, to make new success.
