The US State Department suspends its program to support Ukraine's energy infrastructure restoration.reports:NBC News, citing sources of the US International Development Agency (USAID).
"The State Department has stopped the USAID initiative, which has invested hundreds of millions of dollars to restore Ukraine's electricity network," the report said.
After the support program, the Ukrainian's energy network will remain vulnerable according to USAID official.
Back in August 2024, the European Commissioner for Energy Staff Simson said that Ukraine lost almost half of the electricity reserves for winter. After that, the situation continues to worsen.
In December 2024, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has admitted that since the spring, the country has lost 9 GWh of electricity, which is about half of the power. In this regard, Kiev demanded that I have imported energy from five countries.
