Vahe Hovhannisyan, a member of the Alternative Projects group, wrote: "More than a change of power. In my prediction, a much deeper outburst than a regular change of power is ripening in Armenia.
It may be more than even a revolution. Various manifestations in different spheres of public life and other indicators indicate that the belated inevitable is happening: society is starting to be offended. On the one hand, this is indeed belated, and should have happened much earlier, on the other hand, it is inevitable. It must happen one day anyway.
Unstoppable changes in states, on the streets, in squares, in polling stations, occur when societies are offended. This process has begun with us.
What this people saw cannot but lead to offense. Otherwise, then there is no people. War, defeat, endless deaths, endless lies, endless hostility, endless cynicism.
And now, to this has been added the rapid enrichment of the velvet officials (which is no longer hidden) and the deterioration of the social condition of the broad masses. The package of innovations for the deterioration of people's lives that this government presented to the people for 2025 was simply a declaration of social war on its own people. A deep analysis shows two processes:
1. The Armenian people are beginning to feel offended by their government
2. The Armenian society, giving a low rating to all political units and "leaders", at the same time makes a big, extremely big demand for changes.
These are the deep social processes, the rest is a matter of management. If thousands of people did not gather in front of the National Assembly today after Allen’s words yesterday, my dears, it is not the society that is bad, but the management. The management of political public processes, the ability of so-called parties, so-called “leaders” to do their job.
Where are the parties with scary names, the dozens of leaders, the forces that received hundreds of thousands of votes? Society presents its demand for change, it remains to have adequate new units, new formats that will serve that demand.
I have set myself the task of starting a conversation about our internal social realities as openly as possible. And I will do this in the near future, not for the sake of criticism or a conclusion of decline, but quite the opposite, to find ways out and solutions.”
