Human rights activist Zhanna Aleksanyan, referring to the answer to the question of Alen Simonyan, the current Speaker of the National Assembly, a journalist from Artsakh, writes:
“The representatives of the Armenian government prove to us every day what a person, a person in power, an official should not be like.
What immoral, inhuman qualities he should be guided by. Alen Simonyan was trying to belittle the people of Artsakh today. It is known that the one who belittles himself belittles, but in the case of Alen Simonyan, all the chances of being belittled are cut off.
“You left there when it was not safe, although you could have stayed and fought until the end, but you left, you had to fight, you had to fight...,” Alen Simonyan fanatically repeated.
The stories of the people of Artsakh who survived the genocide come to mind, when the villages were filled with Turks, defenseless women, children, and the elderly were trying to reach Stepanakert by walking for kilometers through the forests, with violence and murders on the way.
Men were fighting on the border with weapons in their hands, their minds and thoughts towards their homes and families. What Nikol Pashinyan was saying just these days: the people of Artsakh are not in any danger.
They know best what they have done, that is why they are going crazy. We know too. You have betrayed Artsakh and the people of Artsakh. It will not be possible to blame your unforgivable sins on others. God has not made you worthy of the Homeland, love, or the right to be called a human being.
