"Orange" climate threat level declared in 21 French departments due to Hurricane Florian

France was hit by Hurricane Florian, and 21 departments of the country declared an "orange" (penultimate) level of climate threat.

This is reported by the national meteorological service of the republic, Meteo France, writes TASS. Meteorologists warn that the storm will pass through the territory of the republic from west to east, from the department of Vendée to the department of Ardennes.

In turn, the BFMTV TV channel reported that wind gusts up to 34 m/s have already been recorded in the west of France, which received the first blow of the disaster.

Due to the threat of falling trees, a number of departments have decided to limit train traffic during the day.
