Georgia deports 25 foreigners who participated in protests


The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has started the deportation procedures of 25 citizens of foreign countries who participated in protests in November-December last year. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.

"The migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has started the deportation procedure, there are foreign citizens who participated in the protests in Tbilisi in November-December, against whom the court imposed various administrative sanctions. persons, 10 of whom are foreign citizens, have already left the territory of Georgia," the message says.

As the department notes, in total, 91 foreigners were expelled from the republic in November-December 2024, some of them voluntarily left Georgia. Among them are citizens of Iran, Algeria, India, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Pakistan, Nigeria, Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkmenistan and other countries.

As for the data of the entire year 2024, a total of 430 foreigners were deported from the country, which is 126% higher than the figure of 2023.
